Liebster-Award

I was supposed to write this post last weekend, but then i was so busy weeping for having flunked my job interview. But on a positive note, i got nominated for Liebster Award , so at least i can be happy about that.

Thank you, Thad for nominating me. Thad has a fabulous blog, you can check his reviews here.

So here are the questions that were asked to me.

1.What’s the worst book you’ve ever read?

Going with a book I read quite recently – ‘The Little Paris Bookshop’. I bought it based on a friend’s stellar review on good reads. But when i was done, all i felt was mehh . Other book that comes to my head is Christopher Paolini’s- Eragon. I bought all four of them last year, but after finishing the book one, i don’t wish to continue reading the remaining series. Also including – The Book Thief, The Norwegian wood by Murakami (sorry if you love any of them)

2.What’s the best book you’ve ever read?

I really have a lot to read. But among ones i have read -Jane Eyre , Stoner, The Sense of An Ending to name a few .

3.What is your earliest memory?

My earliest memory is walking to my uncle’s house, in the middle of night and asking my aunt if she found our house-key there. I was aged 5 then. The remaining story is how my mother tells me. My family used to visit my uncle’s house every Sunday. So one Sunday after visiting them , when we reached home, my mother was not able to find the key in her bag. She must have mentioned something of sort- may be she left it my uncle’s house. So apparently i decided to take matters in my hand, in the midst of confusion i decided to walk there on my own. My mothers had a heart-attack after finding me missing, once she found the key. I did come back on my own , their house used to be like ten minutes walking distance from our house.

4.Cats Or Dogs

Dogs , sorry cat lovers. I used to own two dogs.

5.What did you want to be when you grew up ?

A lot of things actually astronomer, singer , pilot. It used to change every week according to my mother.

6.Why did you start blogging ?

Main reason was to keep my reading organized. I thought blogging will help me to keep my reading systematic , as i have to keep posting something every month. I also thought it would help in improving my writing. Every reader wants to put out their two cents on books they read, to who ever will listen to, i guess.

7.If you’re not blogging what are you doing?

I work full time , i do struggle in managing time considering the innumerable projects i wish to do. Since i am on hunt for new job , i wish ideally to spend my free time on improving my coding skills. But in reality i spend it reading and watching Netflix.

8.Tea or Coffee?

It keeps altering but these days mostly into tea. By tea, i mean tea with milk , prepared in Indian fashion. I don’t like tea prepared using tea-bags.

Quoting Frank McCourt , lines from Tis: a Memoir

“I told her tea bags were just a convenience for people with busy lives and she said no one is so busy they can’t take time to make a decent cup of tea and if you are that busy you don’t deserve a decent cup of tea for what is it all about anyway? Are we put into this world to be busy or to chat over a nice cup of tea?”

9.What’s your dream holiday?

I would love to go to Iran, Morocco and Cuba someday. And Paris once again 🙂

10.What’s the last record/album/mp3 you bought?

The last record i bought was -Backstreet Boys. (Everyone unfollows !!)

It was a compact cassette . Technically my parents paid for it. I don’t think i have bought any record on my own.

I would like to nominate
